Mandatory Candidate Guidelines

Effective Date: May 2026 Policy: Zero-Tolerance

To ensure the highest standards of academic and professional integrity, all candidates utilizing the Secure Proctoring & Assessment Digital Engine (SPADE) must strictly adhere to the following guidelines. Failure to comply will result in immediate termination of the examination.

1. System & Technical Requirements

  • Supported Browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge (Ensure your browser is updated to the latest version).
  • Hardware: A functional webcam (internal or external) is mandatory for all AI-proctored exams.
  • Network: A stable, high-speed internet connection is required. Disconnections exceeding 2 minutes may result in automatic submission of the exam.
  • Permissions: You must grant the browser permission to access your Camera and allow Full-Screen mode when prompted.

2. Pre-Examination Environment Setup

  • Isolation: You must be seated in a quiet, well-lit room. No other individuals are permitted in the room during the examination.
  • Lighting: Ensure the primary light source is in front of you (lighting your face), not behind you, to avoid AI tracking failures.
  • Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smartwatches, external monitors, calculators (unless built into the exam UI), textbooks, and handwritten notes are strictly forbidden.
CRITICAL WARNING: Active Examination Rules

Once you enter the 6-digit Exam Code and click "Initialize Exam", the secure environment is activated. The system will lock your browser into Full-Screen mode. Pressing the ESC key, attempting to switch tabs, minimizing the browser, or opening other applications will trigger an instant malpractice violation and terminate your exam.

3. Exam Navigation & Saving Answers

  • Saving Answers: Selecting an option (A, B, C, D) does not save your answer. You must explicitly click the Save Answer button for each question. Unsaved answers will not be evaluated.
  • Timer Auto-Submit: A countdown timer is visible at the top of the screen. When the timer reaches 00:00:00, the exam will automatically submit only your saved answers.

4. AI Proctoring & Malpractice Violations

  • The 30-Second Rule: Your face must remain within the camera frame at all times. If the AI engine detects a missing face for 30 consecutive seconds, the exam is permanently locked.
  • Multiple Faces: If the camera detects more than one face in the frame at any time, the exam will be flagged and terminated.
  • Single Attempt: A single exam code is valid for one attempt only. Retakes are strictly prohibited and structurally blocked by the database.

*By logging into the SPADE portal and entering an Exam Code, you digitally sign and agree to abide by these terms under the zero-tolerance malpractice policy.
