Technical System Requirements

To ensure uninterrupted performance of the SPADE AI Proctoring Engine and prevent accidental malpractice flags, your device must meet the following minimum and recommended specifications.

1. Hardware Specifications

Processor (CPU) Intel Core i3 (5th Gen) / AMD Ryzen 3 or equivalent Intel Core i5 (8th Gen) / AMD Ryzen 5 or higher
Memory (RAM) 4 GB RAM 8 GB RAM or higher (Ensures smooth AI video processing)
Camera * Integrated or External Webcam (480p) 720p HD Webcam (Prevents false AI face-missing flags)
Display 13-inch display (1366 x 768 resolution) 15-inch display (1920 x 1080 resolution)

* A functional webcam is strictly mandatory. The exam will fail to initialize without camera permissions.

2. Software & Network

Operating System:

Windows 10/11, macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS or later. ChromeOS is supported if using the standard Chrome browser.

Supported Browsers:
  • Google Chrome (Version 100 or higher) - Highly Recommended
  • Mozilla Firefox (Version 100 or higher)
  • Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based, Version 100 or higher)
  • Note: Safari and Brave browsers are not officially supported and may cause camera issues.
Internet Connectivity:

Minimum Speed: 2 Mbps (Upload and Download)

A wired Ethernet connection or stable Wi-Fi is required. Hotspots are discouraged as network drops exceeding 2 minutes will force an auto-submission of the exam.

3. Strictly Prohibited

The presence of the following will result in an immediate Malpractice Violation and exam lockdown:

  • Virtual Machines (VMware, VirtualBox)
  • Remote Desktop Software (AnyDesk, TeamViewer)
  • Screen Recording Tools (OBS, Snagit)
  • Dual/Multiple Monitor Setups
  • VPNs or Proxy Servers
