All data handling complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act) 2023, UGC Guidelines on Public Self-Disclosure, AICTE norms, and internal institutional policies.

1. Purpose of the Portal

This portal is designed exclusively for publishing semester results, grade sheets, and academic performance information of students. The system is meant strictly for institutional use and is not intended for public dissemination of any student’s personal academic data.

2. Legal Compliance

This portal operates in alignment with the following regulations:

• Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act), 2023: Student marks, grades, and rankings are classified as personal data. Public disclosure without consent is restricted. All academic information is therefore accessible only through OTP-based student authentication to prevent unauthorized viewing, sharing, or misuse.
• UGC Public Self-Disclosure Guidelines: Institutions must maintain transparency but must not publish identifiable student result data publicly. This portal ensures that student-specific data is visible only to the respective student after verification.
• AICTE Norms and Code of Conduct: AICTE mandates responsible data management and protection of student information. This portal follows secure access, encryption practices, and non-disclosure principles.
• Information Technology Act, 2000 (IT Act) – Reasonable Security Practices: The portal follows industry-standard security controls, safe data storage, and restricted access protocols.

3. Data Collected and Processed

The following academic details may be processed by the institution:

• Student name and registration number
• Department and year of study
• Internal/External marks, grades, attendance records
• GPA, CGPA, and rank (visible only to the individual student)

No additional personal data is collected directly from students. The system does not request sign-up, password creation, biometric data, or financial information.

4. Access Control

To ensure compliance with DPDP Act security obligations, access to the portal is restricted as follows:

• Students: Can view only their own result and rank via OTP authentication.
• COE and Principal: Have administrative oversight and approval authority.
• Authorized Staff: May upload and verify academic data.

No student can view the results or rank of another student, ensuring privacy-by-design.

5. Data Protection & Security Measures

In accordance with DPDP Act Section 8 (Responsibilities of Data Fiduciaries), the institution adopts:

• OTP-secured login for confidential result access
• Role-based access control (RBAC)
• Encrypted communication and secure server storage
• Continuous monitoring to prevent unauthorized access
• No transfer or sharing of data with external agencies

Public display of marks, rank lists, or score-based comparisons is not permitted by law unless prior consent is obtained—therefore the portal ensures private, student-only visibility.

6. Developer Declaration

This portal was developed by Abu Jabar Mubarak, B.Tech Computer Science and Business System, exclusively for Mohamed Sathak A.J. College of Engineering.

The developers do not collect or store any personal information. All academic data is controlled solely by the college administration. The developer has no access to student result information.

7. Data Retention

Academic data is retained by the institution as required for examination records, audits, and university compliance—following internal policies and statutory guidelines.

8. Updates to This Policy

The college reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy to meet regulatory changes or improvements in the result system. Updated versions will be posted on this page.
